It Takes One to Know One
I was born in Chicago, in mid October.
I am klutzy, and prone to forget.
I worship the fall because of my birthday and,
I enjoy the winter, because I always ski.
I say a lot of dumb phrases and have a hard time being quite,
And it’s at the worst possible moment.
I am always procrastinating,
It takes me hours to do my homework.
I like to read my a book of my choice,
But do not like to read a book for school.
I love to be with animals,
And I adore riding horses.
I could not live without the beach,
It’s my favorite place in the world.
I am not perfect, and never could be.
this is an about me poem
help.. maybe give me ideas to work with…
and tell me other things i could write, based on the above work..
i have to read this out loud in front of my 9th grade class.
full of people who dont likee me ..

all advice is welcomed!!!!!
THANK YOU
I’m a native of Chicago, born in October,
I’m often clumsy, knocking things over.
My mind is a sieve, I often forget;
Always curious, I ask lots of questions,
being generous, I often speak my mind…
Knowing when to remain quiet is a lesson
I haven’t learned yet.
I worship the Autumn, as my birthday is there,
Winter is best when the skiing is fair.
I’ve another fault: Procrastination;
This means it takes me forever to bring my homework to completion!
Perhaps I’m a bit stubborn, I don’t know,
because while I like to read books I choose,
when I receive the required reading list I groan, “Oh no..”
My passion is found in the company of animals,
Riding with a good horse for miles and miles..
The beach is my special place;
There I return, to find peace and receive grace.
I’m not perfect, and never can be
yet somehow I’m existing…and this is a just a little bit about me.
