Can I safely take a 1970 17 foot Vee tri-hull ski-boat with a 100 HP engine into the ocean?
I just got myself a boat here in Kansas. I am thinking about taking to San Diego, CA for the winter. I want to go out of the bay to some of the winter fishing spots in the ocean. All the spots I know of are well within site of the City. I plan on taking a GPS and an emergency radio. I do not have much experience with boats but I will plan on using it quite a bit this winter and fall on the lakes here in Kansas.
usually ski boats stink in the ocean [it's thier design] if your staying in the bay you’ll be ok in the pacific,you might be asking for trouble.before you venture out see the ocean conditions first if it’s flat no wind and your staying 1 mile from shore ok,further out your asking for trouble.
