North Carolina ski recommendations?
My wife wants to give me a ski trip for my 50th birthday next month. I think she’s trying to kill me. I’d like some recommendations for good places to ski in North Carolina, as well as any places to stay. What I’ve seen online is pretty expensive. We’ll be driving up from Georgia with my 13 year old son, who will probably snow board.
Can someone help me find a good place that’s affordable?
for inexpensive, that’s kinda tough. try Beech mountain because they have lift ticket deals mid-week (women free on Thursdays for eg.) http://www.skibeech.com/ also log on to http://www.skinc.com/ they have links to tons of lodging and all the resorts and contest deals…maybe you could win a trip?! there are slopeside lodging which makes it all worth the money and if you ski beech or sugar you’re choices are mainly houses and condos and one 1 motel the best western banner elk. if you ski appalachian (yeah, home of the mountaineers) then you have many motel choices and fewer houses and condos. good luck and happy 5 0
