Is there any snow in arizona yet? Where are there some good places to go Skiing?
Has anyone gone skiing yet in Arizona?…did all the rain we just had…make alot of snow up north??
They did get some snow up north but not enough to open any of the resorts. Snowbowl in Flagstaff said that they are going to evaluate the conditions tomorrow morning but with highs going back up to around 50 degrees this coming week it’s practically impossible to imagine they would open. The extended weather report for the following week shows some scattered snow showers up there, probably not enough (but I’m keeping my fingers crossed anyway).
Sunrise in Greer also got a little snow but definitely not enough to open. Those are my two favorite resorts here in Arizona to snowboard at but if last season was any indication, I would say neither resort will be open for a while still unfortunately.
I’m heading up to Durango in Colorado around Christmas time because they’ve gotten quite a bit of snow already. It’s a long drive but I definitely recommend it, it’s a great resort. Sorry for the long answer, hope it helps. Think snow, who knows maybe we’ll get lucky!
