Ski trip: Hotels/resorts/vacation rentals?
Three of us are going skiing in Colorado from Jan 30 to Feb 6 2010 and looking for info on the best way to do it. We’re flying to Denver and renting a car. What is the cheapest way to stay near the slopes? I don’t want to stay in Frisco. Has anyone used VRBO? We’d like to spend under $200 a night, more like $125.
I have not used VRBO, either, but it looks like it is worthwhile.
I would say that renting a house or a condo would be a good idea, and there are a lot of choices for rentals in the Colorado area. I’m not sure how much you are looking to spend, so I would say that it’s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.
Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.
